Candidiasis blogs that say to stay away from beans/peas may be a bit suspect. They provide prebiotics that may counter candida problems. Flatulence btw reduces over 8months and reduces long-term gut problems…worth the investment of a few gassy days on beans. Peas are lower flatulence risk but all in all much better options than grains…higher ORAC antioxidant index and guaranteed to lower triglycerides improve HbA1C for those concerned w/ blood sugar (hypoglycemia, diabetes etc..). Beans also stabilized blood pressure, hormone & energy levels. Eat your beans every day! Most of my step-down-unit patients perhaps wouldn’t be there if they did.
