Synthetic vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, kills beneficial probiotic bacteria in the gut and cannot confer vitamin activity in the body

Asher Laub‘s insight:

Synthetic vitamin c allegedly kills off flora so if you take it (and it is more effective in being absorbed than natural vitamin c) make sure to fortify your body w/ a good amount of daily flora from probiotics and/or yogurt (preferably sheep/goat) over cow; otherwise go for the natural vit c supplements (which will not absorb as well).
